Updated Chicago Citation Style Guide

Tuesday, July 3, 2012

The latest version of the Chicago citation style guide has been released. The old guide has been revamped with updated examples of notes and bibliographic entries. This style guide will be of particular interest to students taking history courses. The Library will no longer be providing style guides in print form, instead users can download PDF copies and/or print guides from library or personal computers. The guide is available from the Library’s website, on the style guides web page.

The Library’s Chicago citation style guide is based on Mary Lynn Rampolla’s latest Pocket Guide to Writing in History, which follows the Chicago Manual of Style, 16th edition. This pocket guide is also available in all campus library reference collections, D13 .R295 2012.

An online version of the Chicago Manual of style is also available. Click here for access or find it in our list of databases and electronic resources.
