Kelowna’s Centre for Learning Now Open Fridays ’til 9pm

We heard you! Students have requested places to study on Fridays once the library is closed. As a result, the first floor of Kelowna’s Centre for Learning will be open Friday evenings from 6-9 pm as a trial until March 31st (click here to send feedback!). Following the end of March, the trial will be reviewed and feedback will be submitted.

The following meeting rooms outside of the Library (located on the 2nd floor of the E building/Centre for Learning) will also be available on Fridays and weekends:

  • E204
  • E206
  • E229

Available booking hours:

  • Monday – Thursday: 8 am – 10 pm
  • Friday*: 8 am – 9 pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: 9 am – 5 pm

*For security purposes, check-in is required for room usage 6-9 pm.

Students can book rooms online via MyOkanagan. Once in myOkanagan, go to your student tab, and the student resources box, to access bookings for the Kelowna student meeting rooms. Click here for additional information on booking meeting rooms.

As a trial, a monitor will be stationed in the building to supervise access to the atrium, bridges and the three meeting spaces on the second floor from 6-9 pm. The North doors (beside the International department) will be open to admit access to the building.

Please let us know what you think about having study space available on Friday evenings on campus!
