GMID database gets new look

Sunday, April 17, 2011

The Global Market Information Database has a new look and feel! Visit the database to get an overview of the new site, watch a video tutorial, and explore the new features this online resource has to offer.

The database has adopted a universal brand name of Passport GMID. Its new features include a dashboard that assists with trend spotting, improved search capabilities, and more powerful data downloads.

Wondering what GMID is? It is a market research database with a focus on consumer products. With this database you can compare statistics for demographic, market, consumer, industry, and company research, and identify information such as market size, brand share, consumer profiles, and more. Data coverage dates back to 1977 and is forecasted to 2020. If you are looking for statistics related to the areas of business, health, political science, or economics, this may be a helpful database.

If you are having trouble navigating Passport GMID‘s new platform, our helpful OC librarians would love to help! Visit the reference desk or send us your questions, frustrations, or comments by e-mail and we would be happy to assist you.
