New ScienceDirect Database Platform: SciVerse

The ScienceDirect database has a new look! SciVerse, the new platform hosting this database has a bit of a different  feel from what you may be used to. Students can still access the same familiar content relating to Chemistry, Earth Science, Engineering, Physics & Astronomy, Mathematics, and Computer Science.

Changes include:

  • Search results ranked by relevance
  • Search capabilities that include the ability to search only the methods or experimental procedures sections of articles, search results in full sentences, and a list of the most prolific authors for a given search topic.

If you are looking for a tutorial to help you through the change this video might help make things more clear. If you would like to find out more information visit the news release from ScienceDirect.

All links and bookmarks should still function properly, but if you experience any difficulties please contact the OC Web Services Librarian.
