Library Renovations Slideshow

Tuesday, July 20, 2010

As many people already know, the Kelowna library opened its doors to an updated building last February, and what a difference it has made! We have compiled pictures of the old library building, pictures taken during the renovation, and current pictures to create a before and after slide show. The slide show can be found on the library website. Enjoy!

Welcome to Summer Session Term 2!

Thursday, July 8, 2010

Welcome to a brand new term of classes! The weather is nice and it is a great time to get a head start on class readings or upcoming assignments, and who wants to be stuck inside when the weather is so nice? Don’t forget the library has great online resources that can be accessed from wherever you are!

Grab your laptop and head outside to checkout some of these great online resources:

We have a new database! Lexi-PALS Drug Guide is a new database that provides vital education on medications for patients. The database consists of over 1,450 medication and natural product leaflets. It even has 600 Spanish language leaflets representing the most subscribed and commonly used medications! This database will be of interest to those enrolled in classes relating to health care, or consumers interested in medications.

Taking Business 293 Entrepreneurship? Check out the new resource page created by our brand new Business Liaison Librarian, Leanna. It will help you get a start on your term assignment, and it also provides some links to helpful resources. This page is still being updated, so keep checking back for even more helpful information.

Don’t forget, the library is still operating according to Summer hours. Library hours will change to the fall schedule in September.
