Writing and Research Showcase Begins Today

Kicking off the start of OC’s Scholarly and Creative Expo is the Writing and Research Showcase that begins today. Displays have been set-up at all campus libraries to showcase some of the scholarly and creative work of faculty and staff.

feature_deakin3Presentations also begin today that highlight the creative work and research of OC faculty and staff. Presentations will take place on all campuses until November 7th. All talks are organized around the lunch hour to facilitate public attendance. Presentations range in subject matter and include topics such as Pussy Riot: Performance Art as Feminist Resistance to Interlocking Oppressions by Interdisciplinary Studies professor Dr. Norah Bowman, How to Write Cases by Business professor Dr. Kyleen Myrah, The ring structure of the binary icosahedral group by Mathematics and Statistics professor Satoshi Tomoda, and Ethnic Media in Canada, Why Do They Matter? by Sociology professor Xiaoping Li.
